Q.Is this an auction or sale?
A.Sale. The sale will work pretty muck like a swap meet, so bring your wallet and best bartering skills.

Q.Is there a price list?
A. No. Asking prices will be marked on the day of the sale.

Q.How are prices determined?
A. Pricing will be in line with typical HAM swaps or online prices found in classified ads such as QRZ. The goal is to sell everything, so I'm sure that all reasonable offers will be gladly accepted.

Q.Can items be previewed or purchased prior to 23 April?
A.Under certain conditions. Sales prior to April 23rd are pretty much limited to buyers that are interested in purchasing the entire inventory.

Q.What forms of payment will be accepted?
A.Cash only. Sorry, no checks or credit.

Q.How many days must items be removed after purchase?
A.Seven.

Q.When will payment be required?
A.Immediately.

Q.Is test equipment tested and calibrated?
A.No. Sale items have not been recently tested or calibrated and are in unknown condition.

Q.Are all cords, probes, and manuals included?
A.Some. Some gear, but not all, has associated manuals, cords, probes, etc.

Q.Are any items under warranty?
A.No. All items are sold as is without warranty, guarantee or any liability upon the seller. No warranty is expressed or implied.

Q.What condition are sale items?
A.Unknown. Except where noted, all test and radio gear is used.

Q.How old are sale items?
A. Many electronic components are "New In Box", but these items are not newly manufactured. Earlier items are from the 40's, and most items are at least a decade old.

Q.How have items been stored?
A. Sale items have been stored in a residential garage and bedroom for several years.

Q.Are sales refundable?
A.No. Sales are non-refundable and final.

Q.What HAM club is assisting the estate sale?
A.Sacramento Amateur Radio Club (SARC).

Q.Is there any stereo equipment?
A.Yes. There is one used solid-state stereo audio amplifier (EICO AF-4, 4 Watt Stereo Amp) and four or five "new in box" phonograph styluses.

Q.Are there any Morse keys or bugs?
A.Yes. There are about six used keys and paddles. (Examples: Vibroplex Bug Original Standard, KE Electronics Memo-512 Keyer, and MFJ-422 Electronic Keyer Paddle.)

Q.Are there any antenna rotators?
A.Yes. There are a couple used rotators. One used Ken Pro Model KR-500 Elevation Rotor with controller is available. Other rotator heads are available, but are of unknown type and/or are missing controllers.

Q.What type of antenna mast is available?
A.Rohn. One base plate, one top section and eight mid sections are available. The sections are approximately ten feet tall. Removal of the existing tower is required.

Q.Is there any transceiver, receiver, transmitter or power amplifier equipment?
A.Some. Some gear remains, but most transceiver equipment was donated to a non-profit public service organization. About a half-dozen used commercial Motorola and GE radios are in the inventory. There are Motorola Motrac and GE MASTR II (plus other GE units) commercial transceivers. Besides the GE and Motorola radios, the following are available:
  • One "new in box" Alinco DJ280 220MHz HT
  • One used Kenwood TR-2500 2m HT
  • One used GE Phoenix-SX 440 MHz mobile
  • One used Yaesu FTC 2040 mobile
  • One used AMECO 2-6 Meter TX-61 transmitter base

A.Yes. The following used supplies are available:
